Description

The MOUNT X CC five-spoke wheelset from XeNTiS is another monocoque innovation developed with the highest precision for mountain bikes with Boost installation widths. The edge and rib design improves both the stiffness and the visual appearance of the wheel. During the development phase, FE analyses and various carbon lay-ups were used to specifically increase stiffness and optimize durability while reducing weight. The result is a unique wheel for cross-country mountain bikes weighing from 1,390 grams per set. Production takes place in Austria and involves numerous precise work steps in which extremely high-quality manual work is combined with state-of-the-art machine production. To ensure maximum safety for the biker, the wheel is manufactured in one piece using One-Shot-Hollow (OSH) technology, whereby the drive and brake unit is securely anchored in a form-fit hub housing. The hookless wheelset offers a high level of comfort, is characterized by its low maintenance requirements and is an eye-catcher on any mountain bike thanks to its innovative design! Depending on the intended use, the 27.5-inch version (584×35 hookless) accepts tires from 58 to 71 millimetres and is compatible with the Center Lock® standard for disc brakes. Bikers have the option of choosing from various freewheel systems that harmonize with the most common shifting components on the market.
